The Home Depot Talking Tool Box

The Home Depot Talking Tool Box is recommended for ages 3 years to 5 years.  Tyler got this for his 2nd birthday.

There are a few small parts that come with this set that are potential choking hazards, so we don’t let Tyler play with them by himself since he is younger than the recommended age.  Aside from that, it seems like this tool box and tools are fine for Tyler to play with.

This set includes a variety of pretend tools.  It includes a folding ruler, level, saw, square, 2 screwdrivers, hammer, clamp ratchet, 3 wrenches and multiple pieces of pretend hardware and wood (made of plastic).

The plastic tool box has buttons on top of it that can be pressed to hear 5 different tool sounds, including a saw, hammer, ratchet and power tools sounds.  This durable tool box is large enough to store some other tools that you may purchase in it as well.  There is a secure latch closure and an easy-carry handle on the box.  The box measures 4.5 x 7 x 8.5 inches.

Tyler plays with these tools several times a week, every week.  Tyler loves “fixing” things with his tools.

UPDATE: At 3 ½ years old Tyler loves playing with all of the tools in this tool box.  He was a little young when he first got it, but now he is old enough to play with even the smallest pieces, and has a great time screwing in the bolts and hammering things.  He is always finding things to “fix” with his tools in the house.  Tyler loves going to The Home Depot with his dad, so the fact that this set is the same orange and black colors is a bonus.

I would definitely recommend getting this toolbox and tools.
