The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Say Please Tea Set is recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years. Jordan got this for Christmas when she was almost 11 months old.
This is a very cute little tea set. It is the perfect size for little hands. This set comes with a pink and purple teapot with a cute face on it, 2 purple tea cups also with little faces on them, and 3 desserts on a pink plate. The plate has 3 different shaped spots on it (circle, triangle and square). The 3 pieces of desserts fit in the corresponding shapes on the plate. This will help your child recognize shapes. There are 3 interactive modes on the teapot, with songs, sounds and phrases. The kids love that the teapot makes a pouring sound when it is tilted. I have to admit, I think that’s great too. The teapot will play songs when the teabag is pressed. The lid can be opened for more interaction. I love that this set helps teach manners. It’s always good to reinforce saying “please” and “thank you”.
The teapot requires 2 AA batteries, which are included. This set seems durable. It has been dropped several times, and still works fine.
This is a great first tea set. Even Jordan’s 3 year old brother, Tyler, has a good time playing with it. This set introduces children to pretend play. We’ve enjoyed many tea parties using this set. It is helping to familiarize the kids with sharing. Tyler will often pour us a cup of tea and bring us a treat to go with it.
I had no idea this would be such a hit when I bought it, but I’m really happy it is. I would definitely recommend buying this tea set.
