The Especially for Baby Under the Sea Bath Squirtees are recommended for ages 6 months and up.
I got these adorable bath squirtees as a baby shower gift. These colorful toys are the perfect size for little hands. Each bath toy is approximately 3” across. The package contains 4 squirtees: a sea turtle, an octopus, a fish, and a crab. They were Tyler’s first bath toys, and he still loves to play with them at 17 months.
When Tyler was really young he had fun watching the squirtees float around the tub, as well as swat at them. He got a kick out of it when I would squirt water from them. As he got older, he figured out how to squirt water from them himself. Tyler’s favorite is the red crab. He squirts it everywhere, including at himself. He laughs and has so much fun in the bathtub with these squirtees! All of them produce a nice stream of water when squeezed.
So far we have not had a problem with mold growing in the squirtees, and we’ve been using them for about a year. I always make sure to completely squirt out all of the water in the squirtees after every bath. I’ve read suggestions of soaking the squirtees in vinegar and water once a week to clean them and prevent mold from
growing, so this is something you could try if you’ve encountered a problem with mold. Tyler also only plays with one or two at a time, so if mold did grow in them, I can just throw them out and use the other two in the package. These squirtees are inexpensive, so I wouldn’t mind buying a new package if needed. We haven’t had any issues with the paint coming off either, even with Tyler putting them in his mouth.
